Removal of child's image from business website

1 Answers. Asked on Apr 01st, 2014 on Intellectual Property - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I am attempting to have my 6yr old child's image removed from several websites used to promote a non registered NYC business. The owner does not have my consent to use the child's images to promote his business and has ignored cease and desist notices. The owner is also displaying the child's image along side of sexually suggestive photographs which I deem inappropriate

Try the number at the bottom of this link  Improper use of individuals' images have been treated as identify theft in some cases, and I think it would fit your scenario.

Intellectual Property
The legal system recognizes the rights of people and companies that invent and create unique works, granting them ownership of those tangible and intangible assets through a number of intellectual property laws. Intellection property, or IP, includes patents, trademarks, copyright, trade dress and trade secrets. Intellectual property attorneys work with businesses and individuals (including inventors, writers, composers, artists and designers) to help protect these intellectual assets. IP lawyers and law firms can assist with taking initial steps to protect assets, while also working with clients to license items and to protect assets that are plagiarized, infringed and/or misappropriated.
